Respected All Members,

Most of us all like cartoons, and enjoyed lot with cartoons in our childhood.

So let’s remember and share here about “What and when was first cartoon you have watched”

For mine it’s the Tom and Jerry, was watched at 4 years old age at mine friend’s house in TV show.

May be I watched very first at mine home but I do not remember it.

So, what about you!!

Probably my first cartoons were Bugs Bunny, et al. But I remember the first cartoon that I loved was Bullwinkle, and I still love it. So ahead of its time.

Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and who remembers Mighty Mouse? Of course Looney Tunes and the sing along ones with the bouncing ball. Saturday afternoons at the local movie house we saw all those plus great cowboy movies Durango Kid, Jimmy Wakley, Allan "Rocky" Lane, and Roy and Gene and a serial. Would Rocketman stop the evil Dr. Vulcan from blowing up the world with his atomic destructo-ray? See the next exciting chapter at this theater next week! Great stuff.

We didnt have TV in my pre-teen years, but we had radio programs. Buster Brown, Tarzan, Bobby Benson and the B Bar B Riders With Tex Ritter and Don Knotts, Clyde Beatty Show, Straight Arrow. Captain Midnight, where if you had an official Captain Midnight decoder you could decode a message at the end of the program. Is was usually brush your teeth, mind mommy and daddy, stuff like that. Those old programs were classic. Us kids would hurry home from school to hear them. Superman was on first, couldnt miss a chapter of that.

Bambi, then thanks to my kidlets, Gumby, Caspar ( the friendly Ghost ), although not a cartoon, they loved HOURS upon hours of LUCY!!..
Grandson was hooked on Arthur, Blues clues and Dora the explorer,( all of which he'd pitch a fit if I didn't stay right there in the room w/him ) same for " Wizard of Oz " I know it by heart...

I love listening to old time radio broadcasts on the Internet and on a local WPR station on Saturday and Sunday. Very cool times!
