Delayed Amazon Review Publication
It is taking Amazon several days to publish my review, about a week has passed now. Has anyone else had trouble with Amazon taking a long time to approve your review? I wonder what the average wait time typically is for Amazon to process book reviews and if anyone has any tips for expediting the process.
Thanks,
As a geologist and christian, I also particularly enjoy books on science and faith.

Thanks! I appreciate it! I suppose from now on I'll stick to the recommendations here and will keep my amazon reviews to just a sentence or two. It's nice when they are auto-approved in minutes, but beyond that it just seems a bit excessive. Maybe for onlinebookclub we could recommend a warning statement for reviewers, letting people know that if your review is greater than just a few sentences, it may result in an abnormally excessive review times. I just spoke with an Amazon tech and he mentioned that review periods might last up to 3 months! Which is just insane.Delaney Kronheim wrote: ↑07 Sep 2024, 07:37 I find that wait time really varies. Sometimes I have review approved in a few hours, sometimes a few days or even a week. I don't think there is a way to expedite the process. You simple have to wait.

I found other forum posts on the topic. In which someone submitted two reviews, one was immediately approved while the other was not and took awhile. Which I suppose explains why the update option uses the word "submitted" to say that the review was submitted. I emailed Amazon as well, their review community. But I'm sure they're probably overloaded given the quantity of customers that have.Delaney Kronheim wrote: ↑07 Sep 2024, 07:37 I find that wait time really varies.
