The death of my best friend :long:

Ok, so on December 14, 2009, my friend passed away. Not just any friend, my best friend, and he didn't die just any old way, he was killed in a motorcycle crash. The worst part though was that it happened right down the street from my house, while he was driving back home from my house. About 2 minutes after he left my house, I heard an ambulance go by my house and went in the direction that he was going. I don't know what it was that made me sense it, but I knew that the ambulance was for him. So I said to my sister ( she is also friends with him) that we had to go. She said no way that it was for him, so I said "Fine, stay here then, I'm leaving"... I jumped down almost the whole set of stairs, got a few steps out the door and then she came with me. She said that she didn't want me going alone and if I'm really that confident that it was him, then she'll go with me. So we went down the street, and what do you know? It was him laying on the ground. So I sprinted over while the EMTs were about to put him on the stretcher, and I told them that I wanted to go in the ambulance with them. They said that it couldn't happen so I tried to argue my way in but they wouldn't budge. I finally said "Screw it" and went back to my car to follow them. It happened at around 4:45, so traffic was about to start building up. I sped infront of the ambulance and leaned on the horn. Now I have a 69' Camaro with racing tunes so this thing was LOUD. On the highway exit, I accidentally bumped into another car, and motioned for them to follow. I guess that they understood that I was going to the hospital and that they had to get my info later, so they followed. On the way, my sister said that she would talk to them when we got there so that I could go into the hospital. I finally got to the hospital, did a half-butt parking job, and then ran to the doors. I got there before the EMTs, so I had to wait. There was a guy walking on the sidewalk when the EMTs got there, and he thought that I was being rude when I didn't move for him, so I picked him up by his shirt, and threw him to the side. I got in trouble for that later. Anyways, once we got into the hospital, I gave him a nice "Thanks for being my friend" speech that went something like "Chris, I know how much pain you're in right now, but I want you to know that you are my best friend, and that whatever happens, I'm here for you." I have him an extremely gentle hug so that I wouldn't hurt him, and when I let go, he said "James, I don't think I can hold on any longer. Death has a hold of me, and he has an impossibly tight grip." Those are the words carved into his gravestone underneath where it says "Last words"
All that I can say about the funeral is that I said the speech, and that they played "Somewhere over the Rainbow" By Izzy. I don't like to talk about the funeral because the speech that I wrote makes me very emotional even when thinking about it
Anyways, I don't know where he got the "Death has a hold of me" Sentence, if he made it up or if he got it somewhere, but either way it breaks my heart to know that he's gone.
I had to let the story out. It's been bottled up inside of me for too long and has been causing me to not be myself.
Thanks,
