Hi... Wish you a very good day. I am habitual to drink at least 10 - 12 glasses of water. It helps me to keep myself fit despite being a diabetic. What about you? Do you also drink that much water? Let us share this experience with others as well….

I work in medicine and so I try to drink tons of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. My goal each day is 96oz, but I'll admit sometimes I can only drink about half of that.

Well, I don't drink much, as I don't think it's so good, besides I eat a lot of fresh fruits, and they are full of juice, I guess that's more than enough for my body

Fruit juices, that is natural juice from fruit eaten is good, and there is loads of fluid in many food items that contribute to our total daily fluid intake. It doesn't have to be exclusively water. Even tea and coffee can contribute, not as much as water, but still do contribute.

I drink a lot of plain water, and tea and coffee. Of plain water, I'd suppose I drink 50 oz a day. I find the older I get, the less water I am prone to drink. My Aunt once told me the same thing, so I believe that as we age, there is something within us that cuts down our realization or thirst for water. I do have to "remember" to drink water now, while when I was young, I constantly drank water without any thought.

I hate tea or coffee so i make a point of drinking at least 2 litres of water a day, i feel the benefits like clear skin, energy and my cells and bloodstream is well hydrated, i also drink smoothies and one or two fizzy drinks but my drink of choice does tend to be water.

Smoothies are a great choice, good nutritional value as long as you're careful of the sugar in it.

My coffee is made with water so I'd say I drink about 3-4 pots of hot water daily.

At least 2 liters per day. Always spring water and never cold. In the evening I drink a couple of glasses tea. One coffee in the morning.

Very healthy, it takes a lot of effort to only drink water nowadays what with the constant bombardment of ads for soft drinks, alcohol etc so fair play to anyone who can stick to the water.

I drink a lot of water throughout the day, not so much for health reasons it's more because I love water it's just so refreshing. In cooler weather I tend to drink a lot of tea and the occasional coffee. Weekends that's where the inebriates come in and I drink perhaps a bit of vodka, or some very nice whiskey, some beers, etc. Not always but sometimes.

About 2 litres per day mainly as Tee or Hot Chocolate . But sometimes I drink more, especially when I buy some beverages.
I can't eat too much, because I tend to be fat, so in order to be still slim I drink instead of eating. It helps to forget about the food.

water myth

In 1945, the FDA put out a report that said you should take in about 60oz of water per day "most of which comes from food". That's been misinterpreted to mean we need to have 8 glasses of water per day. It's purely a myth. Some scientists claim we can go without any water if we eat the right foods. Drink water when you're thirsty. Your body will tell you how much you need.

Thing is, when you are thirsty its already too late because thirst is a symptom of mild dehydration, it makes more sense to top up water supplies during the day so that you dont reach the point of thirst and hence slight dehydration, for me i get confused at the many different claims about tap and bottled water. Imo, people long ago had no fancy bottled water and they were just fine so im not a snob for the tap. :D
