2011?

Post by andr70 »

So now when 2011 is so near, do you have any plans? Are you going to spend it with your family or friends? Do you have any traditions? What are your new year's resolutions for 2011? :D

With friends. I know with whom but I don't know where yet. Knowing life I'll land in some gay club in the end :P

The only tradition is drinking a glass of champaigne at 12 and wishing friends Happy New Year. No special traditions about New Year's Eve here.

Spending Christmas and New Years with family, probably go to my brothers house day after Xmas for dinner and quality time with the nephews and niece, and we usually go to a neighbours home for a chat and few drinks to see in the New Year. :D

Main resolution in 2011 is to just keep my job and chip away at my bills! Also want to travel a bit more, take more exercise and on the reading side of things read more classics.

I'm working the eve and day of new years, but I plan on this being a great year!! I'll finish school in August and hopefully I'll pass my boards and start working as a vet nurse by November!! I'm very excited. :D

with my girlfriend and probably her brother and his gf. Don't know where, don't know what, but i know i don't like new years too much, it seems nothing special to me. I'd like to just lay in the bed and watch a movie marathon with some fruit and beer, wrapped in a blanket :)

Hmm not entirely sure what I'll be doing. There is the offhand chance that I'll be with friends in a drunken stupor in New York City or we may just stay in the area bar hopping. At midnight I'll find a quiet corner and celebrate.

I'll spend New Year with family & friends in the local pub & we'll have a few (= many) drinks, sing Auld Lang Syne at midnight, kiss total strangers then miss absent friends & old loves ... get all sentimental & maudlin and have more drinks to cheer up.
Followed by New Year's Day with pounding head & sick tummy & swear it was never worth it & will never to do it again ('till next year!)

I'll probably spend New Years with family, drink, miss absent and departed friends and relatives, drink, miss old loves, drink, yell "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" at midnight, drink...

I usually don't make New Year resolutions, but for 2011 I'd like to resolve some home/property issues and keep more of my income. 8)

Oh yeah I forgot the New Years tradition of sending out drunken Happy New Year texts and posts.

Well, now it's over - anyone have any resolutions they've already broken? Plans for this year they intend to keep...?

Mine is publishing my first novel (next month) which I think I've mentioned a few times already - sorry, I'm a bit chuffed - but also I want to spend more time with my 5-year-old daughter now that the novel is out of the way! ;)

^ In my case that would mean it's blown over Osaka somewhere...

Sorry to hear; hang in there. January can be hellish.

My highest priority in this year is passing my Matura Exam and getting great results from subjects that I need for further education.
Besides I'm going to win my first professional MMA fight in March and finally obtain a higher belt in BJJ.
