The Chat Thread

Hi people, i thought it would be a good idea to set up a general chat thread to talk about absolutely anything, good bad or indifferent (just keep it civil obviously). Some posts in the Rant, Happy and other threads tend to go off-tangent and newer members may think the threads are long conversations between members so if you have something to say generally, throw it in here, and all tangents are welcome!
Ill start, im looking for a new picture for my next 1000 posts soon and i think i will go back to my horror roots. Only 150 or so posts of the lovely Dan Shanahan left to admire (hate to add to the Big Freeze misery Fran)

Maybe take a painkiller for the cramps, meanwhile the honey and cracker may not be helping

Are you...uhh...do you have diarrhea, severe or otherwise? I f so you may want to do the BRAT diet...bandannas, rice, applesauce and toast. It won't do much for the cramps but it will for the 'D'. Other than that drink a lot of water or tea.

i got some sweets as present and aunt packed home made cake so I have lots of sweet things as well. I already can't look at them but even though I eat as they're close my hand. I'm afraid must buy crackers and honey for tomorrow

Dont go from sweet choc to crackers and honey, your stomach wont thank you ha. Best to gradually eat away at the stockpile of chocs, my motto is you may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb- 1 sweet, 10 sweets, its all the one. Hate American choc after all the Hersheys i bought last month, its just sickly sweet...

I can eat any chocolate, really
Hey, is Polish invasion in Ireland really that big? When I visited my friend in England I was in quite a shock to hear Polish everywhere around. I felt like I didn't leave home.

Yep, they are pretty much everywhere here in Ireland, plenty of Polish people working on the building sites, manual jobs etc, they have a very active community here in Waterford and they love their drink even more than the Irish and thats quite a feat! There is a polish guy in the lab next door to me, dont have to go far to find some.

And people wonder why can't US raise visas for us. I wouldn't do that if I were them

Yeah, I know the drinking possibilities of some of my friends so that's no surprise.

They love the off-licences and having a laugh, or having "the craic" as we say in good ol Ireland, very like us in that regard. Not as good looking though, obviously.
