I love cooking, today I'm making soup. What about you?

I love to cook. Today I'm making chicken soup, a specialty of mine if you will. I think I can cook anything as long as there is a recipe or I know the taste. I think next week I'm going to attempt pierogi I hear it's a somewhat difficult task but if I can pull it off I'm looking at a new Christmas Eve dish to bring to the party and I have over 300 days to perfect it.
So how about you, do you like to cook? What are some of your favorite dishes?

Im not really a cook to be honest, its not something which interests me and i generally go down the lazy, easily-prepared meals like sandwiches or pasta and mince, nothing too fancy. Although i do love trying a wide variety of foods in cafes and restaurants, you wont catch me in the kitchen in my apron!
I made tomato soup last monday after work does that count?

I dig cooking too; I just hate doing the dishes afterward.
My true speciality is pasta.

Agree with you ... that's what annoys me about cookery programmes ... they use ever pot and pan in the place & never a word about washing up.
Personally I do a mean salad & very little to wash up

Ha Ha Ha - how true is that? I guess they have underpaid minions to do that grotty chore for 'em; the TV chefs probably watch that for entertainment!

I love cooking. My specialty is risotto I think, and pasta, and anything with spinach and salads. And sushi, but I just make one type of maki so I need to try bigger variety. I got a new book about sushi so I have lots of new things to make
Tip, Pierogi aren't difficult to make, they're just toilsome.

I remember my friend in Melbourne once tried to make sushi, except that she used long-grain Thai-style rice instead of japonica short-grain. Urgh.

So I assume the effect wasn't good.
I'm not sure if I think of the right rice but isn't Thai rice loose?

Ha Ha Ha - yep, so loose that the sushi fell apart in your fingers!

I'm more of a baker than a cook which works out well because my husband is a great cook!!! Last thing I made was a bavarian cream layer cake that turned out pretty well.

Well last nite I made a mean tuna noodle casserole that was really creamy and delish. Had leftovers for lunch today at work!

I really enjoy a good Tuna Casserole did you put crushed up chips or ritz on the top?

I love cooking, also. I prepare my food myself every day. I am single.

I am a horrible cook so I thank the gods above that my husband enjoys it and is quite good at it.
