I like the old carols "Glory in excelcius" and "Oh come all ye faithfull"

So what is your favorite Christmas Song? Why is it your favorite song?

I always liked The First Noel. Cant explain exactly why, it just has a good sound to it and makes me feel good.

I'm reluctant to reply to this in July but anyway ..... 'Fairytale of New York' is my absolute favorite.

In terms of hymns I think 'Goudatae' is a beautiful if lesser known Xmas period Gregorian chant which I love hearing. Although I guess it's more Advent than Xmas really.

I dont celebrate it any more, I live alone and theres no point in it for me. I send my kids ecards thats about as far as it goes. Santa Claus is an expensive old fart. But I like the Xmas songs.

My mom had christmas issues; to put it mildly. Christmas trees in every room. Tinsel everywhere, figurines, clocks that would chime christmas music. Lights hung from everywhere.

I hate christmas.

I hate christmas.

That would get old after a while. My wife would buy all kinds of Xmas stuff, we had a shed full, but thankfully we never got it all up, we would have to have started in July and it would take three months to get it all down after Xmas. Since she died three years ago all I do now is put up a 18 inch plastic tree, about a five minute job and thats good enough for me.

Edit- Ive got a Xmas song that tells it all, its by Tom Lehrer and it is about the true meaning of Xmas. God rest ye merry merchants may ye make the yuletide pay.... and so on.

I've missed something or Christmas is on July now!

As for me I like 'Jingle Bell Rock' - rather silly song, but i don't know why I like it.

Oh Holy Night is my favourite carol. I love Christmas! Family, Roast turkey, Ham, raw fish(niuean recipe), food food food! And a few wines to top it off hehe
