When I think back to how stupid and immature i was between 18 and 23 i want to slap my youngr self but it led me to meet some fantastic people at college and brought me to where i am now so i wouldnt change a thing.

Mike, I think we all have cause to cringe when we think back to our younger selves. But of course the thing is it was that immaturity, embarrassment and cringe making behaviour that made us the talented, mature and all-round wonderful adults we now are!StephenKingman wrote:Nothing. I went to college later than most people (23) after spending a few years doing boring manual jobs, thinking i would be happy. But after a few years i yearned to achieve something so i signed up for a Chemistry degree and thank God it has led me to a great job which has allowed me to see a lot of the world and have a nice life. I wouldnt say science is my "passion" at all but in the current downturn im very lucky.

I wish I were where I was when I wanted to be where I am now ..... there's a thought!

Very true Fran, i guess it all makes us the people we are today, you live and learn and you must (eventually) learn from your mistakes, however many times you repeat it. So now we are perfect, whats nextFran wrote:Mike, I think we all have cause to cringe when we think back to our younger selves. So I don't want to change anything in my previous life and everything I did for the better life in future. But may be if I had a chance not to work, so I would change my life in the past.
