Commas and Coordinating Conjunctions (Full Guide with Examples and Sources)

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

I'm still having issues with commas. Example: Generally I would not like that spicy food but the different way it was prepared made it easier to eat.
I am thinking there should be a comma after food and generally? This tends to get me confused on if maybe too many commas or not. I just ran it through Grammarly and it didn't catch anything. Please help.
I cannot change the past because it is gone and I cannot tell what tomorrow will be like as it has not happened. What I can do is live today as life is happening now.
