Please, which is the correct usage:

1. "These series" ; as in these series of misunderstandings can destroy our mutual relationship?

2. "This series" ; as in this series of misunderstandings can destroy our mutual relationship?

Hi.

The word "series" is a count noun: depending on the context, it could be singular or plural. If you are referring to one group (series) of related misunderstandings, option 2 is the one to use. If there are several unrelated groups (series), each consisting of their own set of misunderstandings, option 1 would be more appropriate.

I hope this helps.
