Grammatical error or not?

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

Grammatical error or not?

“...hinted at the possibility of some more exquisite reading in book two." Should book be capitalized? Does book become a proper noun because it is used to represent the second book in a series?

I would not consider book as a proper noun in this situation.

Hi, according to a credible source, "book two" should be capitalized. Here's the resource: https://www.calstate.edu/csu-system/csu ... ation.aspx.

I would capitalize it to be on the safe side.

Hi
When starting a sentence with a conjunction such as and, but, etc. Is this considered a grammatical error or the style of the author? Should it be listed under an (uncounted error?)

No not in this case. But as a stand alone outside a book most of the time I have noticed that it is Capitalised. In such a case it is more of a subtitle. But here lower case is just fine.

It should not be listed as a grammatical error if the conjunction is capitalized.
