Thank you for this post. My most recent review was marked a lot by unnecessary commas and I'm going to have to do some more reading to understand when and where to out them. Lad to see I'm not the only one struggling here.

This seems like an exhaustive list. I know I refer to places like grammarbook to help with punctuation and comma issues. Sometimes when I have conflicting suggestions from grammar checkers, I like to consult them. Hopefully, this post will help me here. Thanks.

Is the use of the Oxford comma counted as an error in our reviews?

Thank you for clarifying the comma and conjunction issue. I must say that all review apps do not use this comma rule nor do they pick up on the error. The grammar review app I use suggests inserting a comma before "nor" in the previous sentence. However, the conjunction in that sentence does not connect two independent clauses. Confusing !

I've learned a lot from this. Thank you so much. I now know where I've been making mistakes.
