Table of Contents Questions

I'm reviewing a book that contains a Table of Contents at the beginning. I have a couple questions with regard to how to write this to be grammatically correct in the review.

In order to reference the Table of Contents, is it okay to spell it out as I have, capitalizing "Table" and "Contents"?

Also, for second or third times that I may reference it, would it be permissible to write "TOC" if I include "(TOC)" after the first instance of "Table of Contents"? Or would I need to spell out "Table of Contents" every time?

First, I believe "Table of contents" is the right way to go about it. The editors can mark it as an error if you use capitalization wrongly.

Second, yes, you can abbreviate it to TOC after writing it in full the first time.
