"In his memoir Burn Zones: Playing Life’s Bad Hands, Newbery" Do I need a comma after memoir?

I do not believe you need the comma. The rule is that if the appositive is an essential part of the sentence, it does not need to be set apart by commas. Since your sentence wouldn’t make sense if we didn’t know what the memoir was, especially since I’m assuming your review about the memoir is mentioning it for the first time here, it is essential, and therefore doesn’t need the comma.
