When one refers to generally accepted subjects of discussion, is it correct to capitalise the subject in question? For example, should we write "Religion" or "religion"? " Science" or "science"?

Neither “religion” nor “science” should be capitalized when referred to in general (when they are used as common nouns). This link has more information: https://www.umgc.edu/current-students/l ... zation.cfm
