How to reduce punctuation errors?

All my reviews are having punctuation errors more than other errors. Is there any way to proofread only the punctuation errors . If anyone know, kindly share your ideas or any legit proofreading apps. 🙂🙂

If you scroll through this forum, you will see various grammar checkers that people recommend (or recommend you not use :) ). No matter what tool you use, you cannot rely on it blindly. I have seen Grammarly have really bad days! Of course, tools are great for catching some errors, but ultimately, you have to decide if what they are flagging is actually an error or not. They do not catch everything, and they may suggest something that is incorrect. I recommend brushing up on grammar rules by visiting grammar websites and bookmarking them so that you can refer to them when you have a question.

Each grammar checker has its strengths and weaknesses. You'll learn which one to rely on when you need a second opinion about something. Personally, I use three grammar checkers, and I have learned what to consider and what to ignore from each of them. I use Scribens, Grammarly, and Prowritingaid, all free versions. A reliable punctuation reference source is https://www.thepunctuationguide.com/

I hope this helps. :greetings-waveyellow:

You could always try sticking with simple sentences, as opposed to compound ones, if it's the commas that are tripping you up.

I have a friend who is a car guy and when I complain to him about something, I (a bit overdramatically) rephrase things so then he can easily empathize with my comma anguish. Punctuation marks are similar to fuses in a car: it's the sometimes ridiculously insane amount of wiring that is the problem in determining which fuse you should use.

Very helpful post. I didn't know you can check your errors on Gramarly, but for my next review I will take use of it.

You have to read more on how to build sentences and paragraphs. Use Scribeens and Grammarly together. If possible proofread your a day after you wrote it.
