Among or Amongst

Amongst may not be used as often, but it has the exact same grammatical rules as among does and means the same thing.
What is your opinion of this sentence?
Lastly, "Credit Where Credit's Due" finishes the sextet with a more easygoing conversation amongst(among) animal friends.

It's mostly a stylistic thing. It can sound kind of odd to use "amongst" in an informal setting, so be mindful of the tone regarding the piece you're writing.
