Who's, whose, and whom.

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

Who's is the contraction for the words 'who is'. Who's that girl?
Whose is a determiner pronoun. Whose book is that?
Whom is a pronoun used as a direct object or object of a preposition. To whom are you speaking?
You didn't ask about the pronoun who, but here is a helpful link:

This can be confusing because often 's is used to show possession - Ace's post, for example.

But that is not the case for who which becomes whose. (No it where the possessive is its, no apostrophe.)
