Should I list this as a typo or ignore it?

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

Should I list this as a typo or ignore it?

Post by Omneya Shakeep »

“Maybe you’re right. But, hey, a win is a win is a win."

This sentence is a quote in the book I'm currently reading, should I list it in the errors as a typo or not? As I have read previously that the quote errors should be ignored.

You should consider listing it as uncounted error though it is optional. Do not forget that uncounted errors are not counted. Make sure to add every detail of the sentence you are picking out your errors from.

Ignore that one. Can't see any error there.
The gift turned out to be a curse. They killed him with kindness.

I think it should be "a win is a win", repeated only twice, not three times.

This was likely intentional. Not an error. At most you should mark it as “not counted.”

It could be that they are trying to emphasize the matter by repetition. I don't think that is necesseraliy an error.

It seems like "a win is a win." would be correct to me.

A win is A win I think it would be better to be used.
