Grammatical errors

Some grammar rules (and embarrassing mistakes!) transcend the uniqueness of different regions and style guides. This new International Grammar section by OnlineBookClub.org ultimately identifies those rules thus providing a simple, flexible rule-set, respecting the differences between regions and style guides. You can feel free to ask general questions about spelling and grammar. You can also provide example sentences for other members to proofread and inform you of any grammar mistakes.

Hi,
Do you have specific questions based on areas you have trouble with or past scorecards? If you provide examples, it will be easier to give an opinion.

1. Generally, hyphenate two or more words when they come before a noun they modify and act as a single idea. This is called a compound adjective.
and
2. When a compound adjective follows a noun, a hyphen is usually not necessary.
Some grammar checkers will flag a compound adjective in #2 if it is not hyphenated, but it is often not required in this case.

Here are sentences using your two examples:
This well-edited book had no flaws.
His classwork was always well done.
