Responsible of vs Responsible for

In the book Memoirs of a Management Consultant by Franco Guazzoni there is this line:
"Roberta De Ponti, joined first by Roberto Panzarani and then Patrizia Di Pietro, as responsible of the training of our people. "
Does the above sentence contain an error?

Hi,
I have started to comment a couple of times, but this sentence keeps morphing.
I could be parsing it differently from how the author intended, but it seems like a sentence fragment to me. Also, “responsible for” is needed. The preposition “of” is used with the form “responsibility.”

It appears that this is for the PRQ. In this case, my personal recommendation would be to enter it as an uncounted error (if at all) and continue looking for other objective grammatical errors.
