Does tv need to be capitalized in a sentence?

Post by Angie Fernandez »

From what I can research, according to AP and MLA style, tv should be capitalized in a sentence. Is this correct? The sentence is as follows: He used to make us dinner, watch tv with us and horse around with us.

Thank you for your feedback : )

Whilst TV is more common, I don't think that there is a consensus that tv is wrong.

TV is an abbreviation and hence I would capitalize it.
