Canadian vs. USA "ou" or "o"

Hi everyone. I just wanted to get some thoughts on the different spellings when it comes to words like "colour" or "color". I myself am Canadian and tend to use "ou" for spelling most words. I never actually thought much about it until I just posted a reply to a topic a few moments ago. I used the word favourites and was annoyed when my autocorrect showed "ou" without the "s" and right beside had the spelling with just an "o" while incorporating the "s". Should I be more aware of mixing the 2 types when I am writing a review? (Or anything for that matter) Or am I just completely over thinking this due to lack of sleep? Thanks!

I personally think that it is okay either way with the spellings. Maybe you should come back to it after you get some sleep and then it will become more clear to you about u.

Lol thanks. I just know some people are very technical and also take into consideration who is going to be reading what is written. Off to sleep I go! Hopefully?
