Is this a grammatical error?

I wanted to check if the sentences are right?
1. I get bored while reading the economic section in a newspaper. - Do I need to replace the 'in a newspaper' with 'of a newspaper'.
I believe both are correct in their own context.

2. but he has a credits section at the end of many of his chapters, along with a chapter dedicated to his recommendation of books from other authors. - Is it 'recommendation of books' or 'recommendations of books'.

Thank you in advance for the time and help.

I think "in" is fine.
It would be "recommendation of books" if it is one recommendation listing several books. It would be "recommendations of books" if it is several separate recommendations (a separate one for each book).

I've been trying to use various grammar checkers, and I've been dismayed at the results. So I decided to test several of the free ones to find which ones are best. I am sharing my results with you; I hope it helps.
I used the following sentence to test them:
