I was wondering if the correct form is TV or T.V or Tv

As far as I know, TV is the most widely used version since the '50s. It's just a short form used in vernacular that caught on, because it's easy to say. Sometimes, you see it in lower case (tv). I think the lower case used to be considered non-standard. This could probably be considered a "word in transition" now as language continues to evolve and I know I've seen it in lower case more often in recent years. No one's going to give you a hard time in informal writing if you write it in lower case. I'd avoid "T.V.", because it's weird to see, y'know? It'll trip people up when they're reading. For formal writing, I'd still write out television, though. Hope that helps.
