You can simply download the app for windows and sign up for the basic plan which is free. You may find it limited in regards some areas like getting a professional to proofread your work or checking for plagiarism, but it would really check errors that have to do with spellings, tenses, concord, etc. Take note that it is still far from being perfect as you may discover some errors even after using it.
I hope this is helpful.

That's what I did.
Then when I want to check my work, I compose a new email and paste my text. Grammarly checks that for me. Once done, I copy the corrected work and paste it back into my Word document. Or send it if it was an actual email.
I find that easier than logging into the account and working from there.
I hope this helps!

I use LanguageTool and paid $56 for the premium version. It has a picky editor that will offer synonyms, flag passive sentences, and offer style suggestions. I still use Natural Reader afterwards to listen to my review. If it sounds unnatural, then I revise the sentence.

Thank you for your recommendations for Language Tool and Natural Reader. I'll check them out.Mounce574 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2021, 16:00 Grammarchecker.net uses Grammarly for its AI in checking if you want to avoid downloading anything.

That's true about Grammarly. However they mark all the typos much better than Word does - you don't need to have the premium version of Grammarly to check typos anyway.ems2 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2018, 12:41 I just bought Grammarly and it doesn't correct all of the mistakes. It uses all the rules that I grew up learning but doesn't exist today There goes $135.00
As to how it works if you want it to go all over the internet, Check the google button when signing up. Then it follows you wherever you go. It appears as a green or red circular
