As I read the summary for The Wicked Wives I had almost forgotten that it was based on true stories. It sounds like such a thrilling plot as fiction, but to know that it may have happened irl makes me anxious. Congrats on the BOTD!

"The Wicked Wives" by Gus Pelagatti offers a gripping portrayal of a true-crime story set in 1930s Philadelphia, where a group of housewives conspire to murder their husbands for insurance money. The author's attention to detail in character development and historical setting immerses readers in the colorful backdrop of dirty politics and societal prejudices of the era. Nice review.

Awesome! After reading the super interesting summary of "The Wicked Wives" by Gus Pelagatti, I can't wait to dive into all the juicy details. The secrets, scandals, and drama promise to take me on a wild ride through a piece of American history that's both captivating and chilling.

As I get ready to jump into this story of lies, passion, and murder, I can't help but wonder which wives will give in to temptation, which husbands will meet their tragic end, and how justice will ultimately be served. Pelagatti's vivid descriptions of Depression-era Philadelphia really set the scene and make me feel like I'm right there in the middle of all the action.

So, come on, let's go on this suspenseful adventure together, shall we?

This sounds like an interesting historical fiction story deserving attention. What about "The Wicked Wives?" What made each unique and how did they impact the storyline? Did their love for money ever change or they lived with the trait till they arrived to the grave? I would love to read the book to find out. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Someone said, "money is the root of all evil." The other said "No, the love of money is the root of all evil." This is an amazing fictional account. I'm certain the true crime was good but fiction is much better. I don't want to miss this 😊

When the primary motive for anything is money, it is always messy. Author Gus Pelagatti must have a sharp mind to have written a book about these crimes. Congrats on BOTD. Nice review.
