A thrilling crime story that revolves around a group of housewives who plan to murder their husbands for insurance money. Wow, this is really scary considering this is based on a true story. Congrats on botd!

I'm not a fan of historical fiction novels so I'm going to pass on this one. Congrats on botd. Great review.

This book is super interesting, especially since I enjoy plots like this one. Albeit dark, I'd love to know how they pulled the scheme off. Congratulations on BOTD!

This looks like a wonderful and intriguing book. I wonder what the Philadelphia Poison ring is, I think I should do my own research about it. I wonder how much fiction is because the author looks really good at getting facts correct. Anyway, it looks like an awesome read.

I honestly feel that this book will attract a larger reader with a different book title. However, I love it already; thanks to this review. Congrats on BOTD!

The book is very interesting and certainly deserves to be voted book of the month because the author uses history to tell a story that's exposing what lies behind the closed doors of marriage.

I came here... Wasn't very optimistic about the book... Then I read your review! Now I cannot wait to get my hands on it. You are absolutely correct-the title does not do the book justice. Your summary on the other hand: pure fire! Who doesn't want to read a well-woven tale of scheming, homicidal housewives? The fact that I get to find out how a tailor fits into the equation is an added bonus.

Congrats on BOTD!

I'm finding it hard to believe that this historical fiction is actually based on reality. If so, then the title of the book was well selected. Congrats on your BOTD.

HA HA, that's funny!
Exactly! I heard a similar story when I was young, however, it wasn't the wives that are wicked. This tale seems full of serious matter, especially in the union of marriage. :tiphat:

The notion that a number of wives murdered their husbands for insurance money is definitely an interesting premise. I'm sure it could be entertaining if the author carefully planned the plot and flow of the story. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!
