You‘re right about the title: it doesn’t seem to do justice to this otherwise well put-together work. The story itself sounds quite intriguing, and is something I can see myself really enjoying. Many thanks for showcasing this book for us today.

I agree with you that the title would need some changes, to foreground the actual content of the book better. Thanks for the review.

This story is a historical non-fiction story based on a true story where a bunch of women conspire with Giorgio DiSipio, a local tailor, in the 1930s to murder their husbands for the insurance money. Giorgio takes a cut of the proceeds and he is having affairs with some of the women. This is an interesting book that has numerous twists and turns and requires one to read the entire book to find out what happens. Since it is based on a true story I would suspect the wives, Giorgio and the hit man are all convicted and go to prison. In addition, since the murders would negate the insurance payouts because one cannot kill another to collect the insurance benefits. Good review and a book to add to my to-read shelf.

I literally live for anything true crime! I think this is an amazing book and since it involves murder and mystery, I’d definitely be checking it out. I do agree with you too concerning the title of the book but all in all, I want to read this !!

This storyline is an outrageous one, wives killing their husbands because of insurance money. I can't believe this is a true story, but it happened anyway. Great review though

Such an intriguing plot! I just wonder why it has to be a tailor of all the people... I'd prefer some high-profile secret organization or something. The title sells the book off, but I'd still want to read it. Fantastic review!

This book chronicles the personal motives of attractive and evil wives. a riveting crime story based on an actual murder conspiracy. It appeals to me because of the events on which it is based. great review.

Based on your review, it really does sound like one great book. I was a bit startled by the title, and the book cover looks nice. That tailor, Giorgio, sounds like something! I wonder how he got all those women to murder their husbands and how they can all be involved with him. Aren't they aware? This book seems like it will be an interesting read. Thanks for your detailed review!

This is certainly an intriguing tale, especially since it is based on actual events. I had a bit of trouble keeping up with all the names in the sample pages, but I’m sure that would settle down after getting more into the story. Thank you for your thorough take on this read.
