Wicked Wives Free Verse or Haiku

Post by zeldas_lullaby »

This book in its hilarious, over-the-topness, has inspired me to write a haiku. I'm starting this thread so that you can join me.

Wicked, wicked wives,
Corrupted by the tailor,
No one is the same.

OK, here's another one:

Lurid, naughty wives,
They had no moral compass,
Sinful to the core.

OK, here's another one:

Alterations, please?
My shirt is short a button.
Oh my goodness, sir. :o

Please, everyone, add a haiku!

Thanks!! This book is so campy and outrageous that I felt inspired.

Another haiku

You know what they say,
It's "Happy wife, happy life."
Try to stay alive.

Another haiku

A legal thriller?
Then I read page forty two.
Heaven help me now.

I love your haikus. Now, I have to reread the book with the perception of it being deliberately campy and over-the-top. I think I may have tried to take it to seriously to really enjoy it.

Thanks for giving me the insight.

Why would a wife do
Such a terrible thing to
A husband so true?

Wicked wives who are purple or red
Poisoned their husbands ‘til they were dead,
It is shocking, I say,
Even in present day,
Purple/red wives should never re-wed.
