Imagination

Post by bknight47 »

He traced the outline of her delicate golden lips with his fingers
His mind envisioning romantic locales
And lovely shared sunsets
Delighting in her midnight kisses
As soothing breezes lilt across the desert night
His imagination soared at her beauty
As his hand gently caressed her golden cheeks
And drifted ever so softly along the outline of her nose
In the dim light her features
Looked like mountains silhouetted against the night sky
He brushed her eyes now closed in sleep
Pondering if she dreamed
And what she dreamed
So beautiful was she to behold
The aging archeologist placed the Princess’ Mayan death mask back in its case
Content until cleaning time beckoned him to dream once again.

This is amazing!

That is way more erotic than 50 youknowwhats .... beautiful poem, well done
We fade away, but vivid in our eyes
A world is born again that never dies.

That's beautiful! I love it when I can be taken by surprise in the end, it makes me want to read the whole poem over again with the new perspective.

Thank you esmileyturtle. Just a question...if you like turtles, you will like Barbara Silkstone's Zo White and the 7 Morphs. There is a turtle farm in the story.

She writes fractured fairy tales. I think you would enjoy her work. I usually read thriller and cop novels, yet I really liked the change of pace. My book Cob Search For A Serial Killer was published in July. If you are interested, I have a free e-book version if that genre suits your taste. Let me know...B
