A CRACK

[POETIC PACIFIC]

It was a crack
Like the crack of that dry twig
There was a bit of scratch on the colour
Because it was not a fine cut
It was done improper
The flavours were still there
But there were rough edges
It was not fine
The feelings were there
But it sticks out
In every direction
The taste was there
But it was very sharp indeed
You roam your fingers
along those edges
and you will feel
the sharp edges stickying out
and pinching your fingers
The essence is still intact
But it was broken to be exact
It is not really broken
As in pieces lying everywhere
It was just a crack in two
All the emotions
It just split in half
Not in a smooth way
But a crack
