Any fans of 1950s + 60s rock n roll?

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

Merle Haggard made some good old beer drinking songs too.
"I planted some birdseed. A bird came up. Now I dont know what to feed it." Ramblings of a retired senile mind.

Johnny Paycheck and the outlaw era, mmm Bobby Bare...oh and John Conlee. I had cassettes from the radio program Live at Gilleys. Wish I still had those, they never put those performances on vinyl :(

I don't know who sang it but I remember "When I Die, Prop Me Up By the Jukebox"
" The writer must write what he has to say, not speak it."
