I'll have to go with food, to be honest. Followed by music and then poetry.

Ugh...why must this be so complex to answer?

Music has kept me alive through the roughest of times.
Food is a basic need for my physical survival.
Poetry is a basic need for my mental development and well-being.

In the end, I must choose poetry. It is limitless, eternal, and omnipresent. I don't mind starving to death or going deaf to music as long as I can read poetry. Hopefully...I'd still be able to listen to spoken word! :D

Same here! My town has an offical poet who I have become friends with over the course of a few years. She is wonderful! Her modern poetry is about timeless themes. The poetry she produces is the product of her pain, her joy, and of course...her wonderful mind and personality. Poetry is so important in schools. I'm glad your son recognizes that!!

Who'd go with music and poetry over food? For me it's food then the rest can follow, please.

I'd definitely go with music and food. As for poetry, I don't much care for it.

Having food with favourite music in the background suits my taste.
