I write poetry as a way to cope with hardships and the difficult times in my life, it is one of my most important hobbies and below is just one work that I have written, I would appreciate any and all feedback that you all could provide me with. Thanks and I hope you enjoy

Old Habits Die Hard
As the Sun departs you appear,
With dusk comes along the danger
And here you are.
By my bedpost nightly
Whispering in my ear, tempting me
But I won’t listen, can’t listen
You’re beautiful yet a poison, lethal injection
That I have yet to find the antidote
For I’ll keep shooting up, let it course through my veins
The exhilaration of sin, and how it feels
As it seeps into my blood stream
I guess I just love the pain, it’s all too common
One prick and I’m at home, so inviting
When no one else is, and no one ever was
Yet Is this who I am?
They say that the captain goes down with his ship, but mine never even left the harbor.
So, Revenge is sweet? “Guess I’ll find out soon,”
As she motions to the dagger, second drawer to the left
The moon is a creamy, obnoxious lather, giggling as it rips through my window
And shines on the blade, as cold and hard
As I’ve come to be, as we all have become.
