Me too. I usually get lost in lyrics

No music for me while studying. I study in silence so as to not get distracted.

There has been a study on how classical music, particularly Mozart, enhances your IQ levels while studying.
I didn't realize there were studies on this! That's super cool. I too find classical or instrumental zen music is the best to study or work to. I'm a fan of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

Listening to a live lo-fi stream is always helpful when I'm studying. Basically, any music that does not have lyrics involved since the lyrics would distract my brain from focusing on what I'm studying.

I need peace and quiet to be able to work or study. I have never been able to listen to music when I study or work. I am able to focus if there are background noises, but I won't ever play music especially to help me work.

No for me,,, unless if it's only instrumental through out.
It makes me loose concentration, more especially if it's my favorite favorite songs

I always listened to instrumental music, specifically music from movies and (just a couple) TV shows! Sometimes a song would make me feel very nostalgic and sometimes even sad, which were both kind of weird feelings to have while studying  but it worked for me.

I have a playlist on Spotify called “fail safe study” and it had all my favorites. There’s another one that I have that has a bunch of soundtrack music in it all willy nilly. I’d listen to the stuff in there and if the song fit the not-too-distracting or the oh-my-gosh-this-makes-me-feel-like-I’m-having-an-adventure vibes I was looking for, it went into the “fail safe” playlist.

Honestly, the music made me feel like I was doing things and helped remind me why I was there (this playlist was birthed in college). It has songs that I don’t immediately recognize where they’re from now, but that is the kind of song the playlist was built on. And I think something I loved into the background of what I was doing at the time is what made the playlist really powerful.

I can't really study or focus on my reading with the music on. I prefer to study in a very quiet environment, and that's how I can maintain my focus.

I honestly play lofi music or chill songs that made my review or study session uplifting. Some of which I found on Spotify or youtube are pretty lengthy, enough for me to study placidly. I highly recommend it.

On Spotify, you can find a lot of songs for studying. On my end, I’ll go with the category “chill” songs to puts me in an excellent and energetic mood. This is highly effective in retaining lessons.
