So you wanted me to be more ... open on my idea of inspiration. Well, for one thing I'm currently writing two books, and before i write i always try to read poems in which i might find some inspiration. Now here in this poem it gave me an idea for one of my books in which the main character is passing through a phase in which it is hard for him, and i am not going to tell you what it inspired me to write, sorry bro :D Another thing is that I for one, read books or poems to escape my reality. I hate my reality because it has caused me pain ... several wounds that can't be stitched. And so, this poem is kind of describing me ... sleepless nights, wondering about what pains the future holds for me, what will i do, the sorrow, the grief, the melancholy, what do i have to do to keep my happy mask on ... even if i have to risk my own sanity and jump into various plights.

And as the poem stated:

Sleep evades me
Doubt plagues me
Life haunts me
Dreams taunt me
Fate regales me
Destiny awaits me

And my question is always:
Who am I to fight its grasp?
Who am I to turn my back?

I am but a man.....

And yes i am but a man (woman, girl actually but whatever), i am nothing compared to this big world. As Shakespeare once stated: "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players" indeed we are just filling roles. I have my choices in life but i can't escape fate.

As for the reference of my friend, it's nothing it just reminded me of her a little ... nothing related to inspiration.

Glad it inspired you a bit sweetrevenge, the night I wrote it was a night of inspiration for me as well. We all feel pain and it can be binding at times but sometimes you just gotta accept it and realize you cant fight it. Just gotta keep on keeping on. My apologies that I couldnt convey the message in a way that was more receptive to all FNA but alas im merely a man :).
Life is not a bed of roses its a valley of thorns twisting and tearing into the strands of time. But, in the middle of every valley their is a river. If you find that river follow it. For it shall lead you to the sea. Then you will finally be free.
