I can't listen to music and sleep. It distracts me but I do listen to white noise and that knocks me out right away. My friends love listening to music while they sleep though. They like the noise as it's something to concentrate on before passing out.

It depends for me, 'cause sometimes I like to listen to some slow songs in their piano version, but other times it kept me awake 'cause I'd think of the lyrics haha.

Not really, or it has to be some really slow music that doesn't give me more energy, so I can fall asleep.

I need to have some noise around me - usually the fan noise is enough. But if I CAN'T sleep, I do put on my "Lullaby" playlist - it's for me, myself and I: songs that make me want to sing and are soft, and it's only 12 songs!
The Hanging Tree - from Hunger Games Soundtrack
Sugar - Wanderhouse
Once Upon a Dream - from Maleficent's Soundtrack
The Loneliest - Maneskin
I won't Say (I'm in Love) - from Hercules Soundtrack
Summertime Sadness - Lana del Rey
Once Upon g a December - from Anastasia Soundtrack
Young and Beautiful - The Pretty Reckless
Call me Call me - Steve Conte (from Cowboy Bebop Soundtrack)
Take on Me - A-ha (MTV unplugged-acoustic/slow version)
I Believe - Christina Perri

Yes I'm weird, but these are lovely to me, and it's why it's my Lullaby playlist.
It's always on shuffle, but I do fall asleep before all 12 songs are up.

I usually turn the music off once I get sleepy as it prevents me having a deep sleep. I love listening to soothing music just before bed though. It helps me to unwind. "When I think of you" by Leif Garrett is one of my favourite soothing songs, day or night.

Not generally. I don't mind noise but I don't like it in the same room as me, I prefer background noise from outside/from another room.
