Most of the time, with the right song, I'm good to go.

I do typically listen to music when I write. Occasionally it is movie scores, but often it is Celtic music. I find that a good beat motivates me to keep a pace, and in general Celtic or Irish folk music helps me focus the best out of all genres. It might seem weird and I can’t explain it, it just tickles my brain correctly

I find music or song a distraction while writing. Even the so-called 'music to improve concentration' distracts me. I will try to listen in on the notes or the lines and end up without doing much writing...

For me music is required to start writing. I try to live life in rhythm. I try to play harder than I work. I definitely view writing as play time instead of working even though I aspire to be compensated for writing in the future. I love the crescendos of a well thought out paragraph. Above all I love to write to the melody of life... Therefore music is a requirement for writing.
My favorite starter song right now is Franz Liszt -Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 in C-sharp minor.

For Me Music really helps but it definitely has to be a slow paced or very cool music.

It's more of annoying, music doesn't help me to concentrate on my thoughts.

I like music as it can help me focus at times. Depending on what I'm writing I'll put on instrumental/lo-fi to help me not be distracted by words. But I also do have specific play lists for characters or scenes to help me try to capture the emotions that I am trying to write.

I find it hard to read or write with music playing in the background. Instead, I opt for audios that help me focus, such as the sound of the waves.

Reading does help me get through writing. Music gives me a boost of energy when I feel like I'm going to fall asleep while I'm writing. i never want to go to sleep while working so the music assists me a great deal.

When reading a book, I need the environment to be completely quiet. Some songs help in specific situations when I need to write something. It’s not a guarantee, but sometimes it works.

Music is my creative companion when writing. It sets the tone, sparks inspiration, and establishes a rhythmic flow to my thoughts. The right melody can enhance creativity and elevate the entire writing experience.
