Now THIS is an easy one. I'm not a fan of Broadway, but, as I've written in another forum on the site, I do think there are some shining installments in its genre, well, two... But my favorite, I think, is Les Miserables. It's incredibly passionate, towering, and operatic in format. "I Dreamed a Dream" and "Stars" are some of the best in the work, and I am a sucker for "Red and Black," "Can You Hear the People Sing?" and the grand finale. Of all movie scores, I champion the truly great music of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Now, as per soundtracks...which I'm assuming means compilations of various songs chosen for movies, I have to say I'm especially fond of that of "Breaking Dawn." Lucy Schwartz' and Aqualung's "Cold" is a SWEET song. That's not the only great song in the mix, though.

I'm new here but I thought I'd weigh in with my favourite movie soundtrack, which has to be 'The Crow.' I think it's perfect from start to finish.

Nobody else notes it, but my favorite musical over the years has got to be "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum". My favorite "modern" woul;d be "Rocky Horror Picture Show"

LOTR is BEEEEEEAAAAUUUUUTIIIFUL!!!!! Can't get enough of it!
Anything Danny Elfman, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was the very first soundtrack I've ever owned, and the Overture was astounding! My brother and I would rewind and watch the beginning scene of the chocolate being made just to hear the score before I got the CD.
Lest I forget Thomas Newman and "A Series of Unfortunate Events." Epic, creative, and original! I love soundtracks! I could go on and on!
"Pirates of The Caribbean"-ALL OF THEM!
"The Chronicles of Narnia"-All of them
Even "Transformers!"
