Some of the best movie theme songs include "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic (1997), "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" from Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973), "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing (1987).

I love a good instrumental theme song. I love Hedwig's theme (Harry Potter theme song) as it reminds me of childhood and is so recognizable. John Williams, the composer of that and many more, also did the themes for Jaws, Indiana Jones and Star Wars which are all have at least pieces that I feel like everyone recognizes.

For themes with lyrics, I think more of TV show opening themes than movies like Gilmore Girls, Freinds and Sue Thomas FBI. I also l OK ve musicals so Somewhere Over the Rainbow from the original Wizard of Oz comes to mind as a great theme song. There's a lot of great songs that happen to be featured in movies!!

I know some people didn't enjoy this movie, even though it was a personal favourite of mine, but the Pacific Rim theme song was amazing! It was totally badass and encompassed the whole "saving the world" vibe, right from the beginning.

Call me basic but yeah, it has to be Titanic for me too. "My Heart Will Go On" hits like nothing else. And I guess - not a movie, but Ramin Djawadi's score for Game of Thrones gives me chills to this day. Especially "Light of the Seven" and "Truth".

Gladiator - Now We are Free.

I hope the sequel to this movie doesn’t disappoint me.

Theme songs are great, but I also love instrumental movie scores. I love John Williams' music. While he's not the only great score composer, he has made so many movies come to life! The Star Wars and Indiana Jones scores are exciting, memorable, and like a bookmark in time that never gets old. Everything Williams writes seems to soar. He also wrote the theme to Schindler's List, one of my favorite pieces, which proves that he is a versatile composer. Other unforgettable movie themes include Love Story by Francis Lai and Carl Sigman, Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone, and Now We Are Free (Gladiator) by Hans Zimmer.

Apart from the Titanic and Dirty Dancing theme music, I love the 007 theme music.
