There are so many love songs out there to love! One song that's on my brain right now is the one Laura Brannigan sings called "Ti Amo." I've liked that one since I was a kid.

I know I am really corny, but "Little Things" by One Direction or "Iris" by The Goo Goo Dolls. Great stuff!

I like One Direction's song, "The Story of My Life." Familiar? :D

Of course I'm familiar with that song brother...I just don't think the loss of someone loved is the kind of love song this forum was asking for...so I didn't mention it...or else, I would have.

I have a vague recollection that some list of "most romantic albums" gave Van Morrison's Moondance the top position. I don't recall what the criteria was. Maybe it was only for pop/rock albums. Anyway, "Crazy Love" and "Into the Mystic" are beautiful tracks.

I just listened to Giuseppe di Stefano's and Maria Callas' "Mia Gelosa" last night. No matter how many times I hear it, I am still enraptured by what is one of the greatest duos de amor ever written. It represents the true power of the connection between two people from somewhat different worlds who have dedicated their lives and surrendered their souls to one another irrevocably. I could go on, but now I really need my iPod. :P

I heard a couple I liked a while back, A little Love, A little Kiss by Django Reinhardt and Stephanie Grappelli. Its a nice little instrumental and Afraid to Dream by Benny Goodman with vocal by Martha Tilton. A couple of old standards good for romantic moments.

I really like "All I Ask of You" from the "Phantom of the Opera." The best rendition is the one from the movie soundtrack. I don't really care about the complaints the avid Broadway goers had about it. I like VERY few of the singers who tailor their voices to the Broadway style anyway. NOT my thing. Either it's too flowery or too Slavic... My tastes may be of little consequence, but I thought Emmy Rossum's voice was stunning for its clarity, range, and subtle nuances, and Gerard Butler's had sooooo much color! What wasn't to love? Oh, yeah, Raoul was good, too... :D

I'm Kissing You; by Des'ree. It's the love theme from Romeo & Juliet (1996).

Juliet's first aria in the Bellini opera, "I Capuleti e I Montecchi" is stunning. The perfect music to accompany her romantic longing.
