A Short Poem
Standing tall so far from grace,
Foul trees crowd this hollow place,
Their arms they rise from darkest space,
Both black and blue and filled with hate,
Yet still their reach is upward bound,
When fate would have them seek the ground,
For life is found both up and down,
Their leaves look up,
While roots, they drown.

I respect the darkness of it all, as it has something in common with the message I usually put across in lyrics for my songs/poems. Loving your thoughtful description, maybe write some more?
