I would say I love almost all genres of music; classic, jazz, rock, tango...

I like ethno/world music most of all. It's very clear and true. Many ethno songs are traditional. They tell about daily life, rituals or love. I listen to Ukrainian, Belarusian, Polish and Balkan music. But I'm interested in orient music in general.

I like pop, rock, R&B, EDM (sometimes). These are some specific genres in music that I listen to. Other then that, I can listen to any type of music if I'm in a good mood.

This is a shout out to the classical music fans out there, and yes, there are some. Someone once said that “God created music so we might pray without words.” Mozart is fun and upbeat, Beethoven dark and intense. Chopin is impossible to play but amazing to listen to. And if I really want to clean my house, I throw in Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. I also love Broadway musicals (try the Les Miserables soundtrack). When I’m driving, I crank AC/DC and Ozzie — also classics, by the way!

Thats true. Im the same, I like most kinds of music except rap crap and some of that modern boring repetitive bubble gum music. Ive been listening to Duke Ellington's 1956 Newport Jazz Festival recording, its the swinginest thing I have ever heard, especially the awesome 23 chorus tenor sax solo by Paul Gonzalves, it caused a near riot, the police were even called in. I like most classical music but I dont know much about it.
I also like 1950's rockabilly, its good to get you going in the mornings and I like soundtrack music, among my favorites are Ennio Morricone's Dollars Trilogy and the Japanese composer Akira Ifukube's kaiju movie soundtracks. Its a mixture of Japanese and European music and is like nothing else, completely different. I think its best to listen to different types of music, it seems to me just listening to the same thing over and over again would be boring.

My favourite genre is Indie music. I love the large focus on lyrics and the relaxing intrumentals.

I like all kinds of music, but especially Celtic music. I play mandolin and Celtic music is great for improving finger technique. :D

I mostly enjoy the 70's-80's rock and songs that have a sad feeling to it, if that makes sense.

Am I the only one into folk? Himalayan and Tibetan folk to be specific but any folk music with lots of wind instrument hit me hard!
