~laci's new poem~

Post by laci_baby »

You found me all alone
Searching through the night,
You reached for my heart
And pulled with all your might.
You told me that you loved me
As you shouted out the truth,
For I know everything you feel
I am living proof.
But I found myself too broken
Destroyed beyond repair,
With words too selfish to be spoken
And love too blind to be shared.
I watch you standing there
Crying as a broken man,
I want so much to prove to you
But I know I never can.
''You are not the one I love''
I am colder than the ice,
But I swear to those above
I can see me in your eyes.
You cling to me in sadness
Weak and softly weeping,
I am tearful and afraid
But I am not worth keeping.
Your plea breaks my heart
As I pull to walk astray,
God make him understand
That this is the only way.
That even with love
Ones darkness interferes,
Crying I look back
As I watch my world disappear.

Oh laci you have me in tears now :(
We fade away, but vivid in our eyes
A world is born again that never dies.

Well set out, lovely words Laci, bit too soppy for me though, the wife says I have a swinging brick instead of a heart :D

Laci, I hope they aren't ringing true? Sounds like a break-up.

Sorry for the tears Fran, its an older poem I just recently found. :)
Haha poor ant. Yes i do seem to be quite soppy in the poem department. :?
A24 it was actually a breakup poem, but all things aside I ended up marrying him so it was a happy story in the end. :)

Thats a nice poem Laci. I kind of thought you had been there from the realism of it.
"I planted some birdseed. A bird came up. Now I dont know what to feed it." Ramblings of a retired senile mind.

Knew it had to be true. So much emotion.

So glad you married him instead:)
