No Such Thing As Dead Poetry

This is the place for readers of poetry. Discuss poetry and literary art. You can also discuss music here, including lyrics. Also, you can discuss poets themselves, in addition to poetry.

No Such Thing As Dead Poetry

Post by Lazola Pambo »

Ladies and Gentleman, it is all lies...lies and more lies.
There's no such thing as dead poetry. So called established publishers
brainwash our minds by claiming that this aesthetic art has died out.
My first comment is "then why do we still have Shakespeare's books" enrolled
In the modern school curriculums?

What these so called established editors won't tell you is that, poetry outlives
the narratives of novels, in fact novels of fiction are made up of poetry-the only hidden
element is that they are written in chapters and not stanza format.

Let us not say there is no market for poetry but rather let us admit that we are not
willing to market poetry ourselves. One of the other reasons why most people think
that poetry has died out-is because they fail to understand the art form itself.
My fury is not with the man on the street but rather it is with the "so called commercial
Publishers" who fail to promote another form of literature.
With that said poetry and poets will never fade out, instead what will is the publishing
rejectors..poetry in motion my people..poetry in motion!
