The disappearing reappearing HSBK

as my conscious wanes
I see no other point for consoling
yet such tender emotions
always get the best of my sanity
like the light mist from a waterfall
tears from the struggles of hard, cold years
ache and pain that knows no end
a broken heart, half-mended by cordial reassurance
that there can be no other mistress
then she who comes to us in dreams
