I love that version so much better than the original. Another cover I really love is Ciara's version of Paint It Black, though I like the Rolling Stones one too. I also like Ed Sheeran's cover of Skinny Love done originally by Bon Iver.

Creep performed by Amanda Palmer (Radiohead original)
The Story performed by Sara Ramirez (Brandi Carlile original)
I will Survive performed by Cake (Gloria Gaynor original)

are my top three

Oh, also Miley Cyrus does a really great version of Jolene (The white stripes as well, for that matter)

The first song that comes to my mind is:

"Twist and Shout" by The Beatles.

George Harrison also did a great cover of "I've Got My Mind Set on You" in 1987.

Break My Rusty Cage by NiN and the cover by Johnny Cash. First heard in a video game trailer and later went in search of the song and found a video of the recording session. Come Together by The Beatles and the cover by Godsmack (haven't heard the other covers). Mainly heard the cover on the radio.

I don't usually like listening to cover songs, but some may be better than the original song.
People who read are hiders. They hide who they are. People who hide don't always like who they are.

I think I'd check this one out

Sound of Silence by Disturbed.

Originally by Simon & Garfunkel.

The vocals is the main thing I like the cover better. I just felt the lyrics more with this kind of singing and instrumental. The lyrics of Simon & Garfunkel are a work of art on their own.

"Twist and Shout" by The Beatles

It was originally recorded by The Top Notes but not until The Isley Brothers did it in 1962 did it become a hit.
