I grew up loving the stars
Though they taught me to hate the night
Back of my mind, loving the dark
Always wanting to touch the moon
Then I raised my hands up real high
They called me stupid
When I asked why we couldn't fly (are you insane?)
Am I too far ahead of my friends?
Or I am late?
I'll never know if left is right if nobody trusts me, but
Out of the universe, oh no
A million stars just passing by
Say that I'm nothing but I'm
More than just a debris
Out of the whole world, baby
Nobody could do it like I do
My ma didn't die for nothing
I'm more than just a boy, yeah

I don't care if I sing off key
I found myself and melody
I sing for love I sing for me
I shout it out like a bird set free

IF YOU COULD READ MY MIND
Gordon Lightfoot

IF YOU COULD READ MY MIND LOVE
WHAT A TALE MY THOUGHTS COULD TELL
JUST LIKE A OLD-TIME MOVIE
BOUT A GHOST FROM A WISHING WELL
IN A CASTLE DARK OR A FORTRESS STRONG
WITH CHAINS UPON MY FEET
YOU KNOW THAT GHOST IS ME
AND I WILL NEVER BE SET FREE
AS LONG AS I AM A GHOST YOU CANT SEE

IF I READ YOUR MIND LOVE
WHAT A TALE YOUR THOUGHTS COULD TELL
JUST LIKE A PAPERBACK NOVEL
THE KIND THE DRUGSTORES SELL
WHEN YOU REACH THE PART
WHERE THE HEARTACHES COME
THE HERO WILL BE ME
HERO OFTEN FAILS
YOU WON'T READ THAT BOOK AGAIN
BECAUSE THE ENDING’S JUST TOO HARD TO TAKE

I WALK AWAY LIKE A MOVIE STAR
WHO GETS BURNED ON A THREE-WAY SCRIPT
ENTER NUMBER 2
A MOVIE QUEEN TO PLAY THE SCENE
OF BRINGING ALL THE GOOD THINS OUT IN ME
BUT FOR NOW LOVE, LETS ME REAL
I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I COULD ACT THIS WAY
AND I HAVE GOT TO SAY
I JUST DON’T GET IT
I DON’T WHERE WE WENT WRONG
BUT THE FEELINGS GONE
AND I JUST CAN’T GET IT BACK

IF YOU COULD READ MY MIND
WHAT A TALE MY THOUGHTS COULD TELL
JUST LIKE AN OLD-TIME MOVIE
BOUT A GHOST FROM A WISHING WELL
IN A CASTLE DARK OR A FORTRESS STRONG
WITH CHAINS UPON MY FEET
THE STORY ALWAYS ENDS
IF YOU READ BETWEEN THE LINES
YOU WILL KNOW THAT I AM TRYING TO UNDERSTAND
THE FEELING THAT YOU LACK
I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD FEEL THIS WAY
AND I GOT TO SAY I JUST DON’T GET IT
I DON’T KNOW WHERE WE WENT WRONG
BUT THE FEELINGS IS GONE
AND I JUST CAN’T GET BACK
This work is one of my favourites because its wordings and title is related to my works.
a musical mind!

Yeah, now I see, the magic inside of me'

I don’t think these inspire me the absolute most over any other song, but “Throw Me In The Water” by Sjowgren has been really validating for me. Specifically the following lines:

“ Throw me in the water
Anybody else would do
Throw me in the water
I was never really good for you
I know I'm not getting out alive.
Why would I even wanna try?
‘Cause I’m stuck to you.”

That doesn’t sound very run-of-the-mill-inspirational, does it? But I know I’m going to die one day so what’s the point of not being myself? And if that means I love people deeply who do not need me in their life, then that is okay. We only get this one life, and I want myself and the people around me to feel as secure as possible. I will be stuck on them either way. I will find things I love in them, I will continue to study them, and I will continue to adore them for no reason except the good I see in them. There’s no use trying to put up a front or make myself come across a certain way, because it won’t matter eventually. I’d rather just love and be loved and have it all happening in a world where people are allowed to not have me in their life anymore. For them to know that everything they get from me is unconditional and that they don’t owe me anything.

This line from Lil Wayne's 'Don't Cry' song. I really the song. It's deep.

Mother's prayer by Wurld

When I was young
I had a dream to be Mandela
Stop all the Violence
Heal the children
Mama Prayed for the things I seek
Oh I wish I find what is meant for me
As I get older
All the troubles change my visions
It's a list WurlD
Chasing these models on my tv
Many kings fail in history
Oh I just want what is meant for me

Please!! Say a prayer for me
Who would I be without sin
Freedom is the only war that I need
Freedom is the only war that I need

Oh Mama
I've I made you proud?
Just like my father
Did I let you down?

[Hook Chant!!!]

Now that I'm older
All my dreams don't feel the same
Lost all my friends with all the fame
I know I should be been there for you
You know I try
But don't kill my child
Don't kill my child no
Mama mama say
Whenever I'm wrong
Whenever be done wrong
Don't put me down below the ground no
All the children say
We wanna stay young
Don't wanna die young now
Don't wanna die young

We under, I wonder what it takes to make this
One better place, let's erase the wasted

You're my painkiller
When my brain gets bitter
You keep me close
You keep me close

Painkiller by Ruel.

I can really associate with this song in many ways and I’d love to always play it to start off the day.

Between lyrics written by NF and Dax. I love that certain feel of Hip Hop mixed with Christian stuff.

'Hall of fame'
Yeah, you can be the greatest, you can be the best
You can be the King Kong bangin' on your chest
You can beat the world, you can beat the war
You can talk to God, go bangin' on his door
You can throw your hands up, you can beat the clock (Yeah)
You can move a mountain, you can break rocks
Some will call it practice, some will call it luck
But either way you're going to the history book
